Rachel Lane, PhD is the Assistant Director, Scientific Affairs at the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF). At the ADDF, Dr. Lane manages the Foundation’s drug discovery grants program and is responsible for the strategic development of resources and public private partnerships to address critical unmet needs in the field. Prior to joining the ADDF, Dr. Lane earned her Ph.D in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Sheffield, UK before undertaking her postdoctoral research on Alzheimer’s disease in a team led by Dr. Sam Gandy. Dr. Lane has experience in venture capital providing scientific and strategic review of investment opportunities, is an alumni of the Fundamentals of the Bioscience Industry program and has published numerous first authored research papers and reviews in peer reviewed journals.
